My first jdrama had to be my first post. Let's put us in context. Apart from a few films Beat Takeshi and feelings of my childhood, my ignorance of Japanese audiovisual production was abysmal. Invited by my Beautiful to look at one of these disturbing " dorama » qu’elle dévorait alors quasi quotidiennement, mon choix se porta négligemment sur une série supposée légère et drôle.
So stupid that his father sends him to school with the threat to disinherit him in case of failure in examinations at the end of the year. Obviously, Makio must hide his age and his "work" to his classmates and teachers under threat of deportation. Hence, flow naturally a series of frankly hilarious scenes in the last ten episodes of the series. Because, let's face it, if the writer (Omori Mika) has sought to distill, among others, a few generalities about the joys and discoveries of adolescence, the school as a school of life, etc.., My Boss , My Hero is mostly a pretext to delusions of all kinds ... or how to discover the importance of the pudding in the survival of a Japanese school.

Both admit, this series is mainly based on the performance of Tomoya Nagase, in the role of Sakaki Makio. It is never as good as if he must follow up the antics, the grimaces, the strokes and other gestures of all kinds. As he had already demonstrated in his previous successes - Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Mukodono! or Tiger & Dragon - this idiot friendly costume suits her admirably. Generosity of his acting - I dare a "to Louis de Funes - is undeniably the source of the success of this series. However, instead of the insufferable moron Mukodono!, Nagase Tomoya manages here to make us his character, not only hilarious and friendly, but also touching. I was immediately moved by the desperate efforts of this kid in a man's body, forced to extricate itself from its protective shell of "hard" to expose its weaknesses, its gaps, its stupidity. What is more painful and more humiliating than knowing that we are limited and being forced to expose those limits before autrui ?
Yakuza side, I also give a good father figure to (Ichimura Masachika), obviously tough but loving: he arrived at the meeting between parents and teachers, as envisioned by Makio, remains a moment of anthology. A humorous note also the performance of Tanaka Koki henchman seriously infatuated with the heir to the clan.
My Boss, My Hero marked so my first step into the world of jdrama and I warned him of course a certain tenderness. Its generic Sorafune by Tokio (whose leader is none other than ... Tomoya Nagase) has long been my ringtone phone. Further evidence of the affection I have for My Boss, My Hero , a comedy not to be missed!

8 / 10: Somehow I really enjoyed That One. Personal fave.

Notice of Noctis:
My Boss My Hero is a little drama that we choose to see it because the pitch is original. Please note, I said "original", I did not say "interesting." If I say "a yakuza who must return to school," you can assume that there will be humor dork and preposterous situations. And you'd be right. But that does not include the hilarious game Tomoya Nagase who certainly seems to have skin in the facial expressions of rebelz stupid. We do not watch My Boss My Hero for his screenplay for its breathtaking but actors playing their role so well that dork is bent with laughter even before they open their mouths.

Sometimes when they talk about is funny too:
- Is it far?
- 3 km.
- And walking?
- 3 km.
- Ah ... And walking fast?
(silence)
- 3 km.
