Taiyou no Kisetsu
The only question worth asking at the end of watching this series is: why have I inflicted this? How deep trouble, what masochistic impulse, what was obscene voyeurism me to watch the 11 (!) episodes Taiyou no Kisetsu ?
Reading the synopsis gave me some hope to finally see Takizawa Hideaki show on screen the qualities attributed to him and which were to him the future KimuTaku. It is far! Tackey plays a manipulative student (Tatsuya Tsugawa) whose false friendship with a son of good family does not seem intended to injure it by all possible means that we do not know why. But at the same time, the road crosses that of Tatsuya Izumi Eiko, a young pianist from which reverses its part of humanity seems to recover. That material to develop a central character with a true thickness. But that was reckoning without the production whose avowed purpose was to do neither more nor less than the basic fan service! And therefore, not an episode without Tackey shirtless: Tackey taking a shower, Tackey removing his shirt, Tackey off his T-shirt soaked with sweat, Tackey splashed water at the fountain park, etc.. Etc.. A fan service even more obvious and painful than the secondary characters provide role-playing miserably. At the height of the title role as Takizawa Hideaki offers the same face mold inert under all circumstances. I hardly dare mention
the scenario springs and twists, particularly regarding the evolution of decisions of the main character, seem totally incongruous.
What then can we save
Taiyou no Kisetsu ? Perhaps the performance Ikewaki Chizuru (Izumi Eiko) which certainly plays a role in ultra-classic young woman of pure heart and innocent, but has the merit to do so convincingly. Placed in a situation perhaps a bit too exaggerated to be credible, it does provide a benefit sincere and sometimes avoids touching this series the zero.
