South Park Online On Ipad

Last Christmas

What a moment more adequate than the end of December to discuss Last Christmas, a romance that was particularly popular with the Japanese public when it was broadcast? My experience is more or less happy with shoujo and television adaptations had not stopped to appreciate the finesse with which screenwriters and directors in Japan highlight the feelings of their characters. I also am I attacked with curiosity to this series.

The tone is set by the entry of generic music that is other than the syrupy Last Christmas by Wham! ... And the early episodes, we do not know where to head between the various love triangles, fantasies romantic and other marital problems. Would I drown myself in the marshmallow?

Verily Last Christmas is better than that first impression, mainly thanks to a casting exceptional. First, we assess the performance of the stars that are confirmed and Yuji Oda Akiko Yada, offering viewers probably one of the best alchemy torque seen in a drama. Their characters, Kenji and Yuki, are particularly well supported, especially by the charismatic Higaki Naoya (Hiroshi Tamaki, two years before the extraordinary Nodame Cantabile), the beautiful Fujisawa Ritsuko (Nana Katase), the unbearable Shintani Goro (Tsuyoshi Ihara) ugly but honest and Hayama Teppei (Mirai Moriyama, who badly needs a visit to the orthodontist). Special mentions for Ryo and Megumi, the latter showing that her acting talents go far beyond his famous hat H. With these players, the flood of good feelings, scenes with rose water and all kinds of shots finally going well, calmly and smoothly.

If a single qualifying should be coupled with this series, it would certainly be "cute". I was not expecting much of a romance, if it is handled with quality and elegance, even if exaggerated, artificial offered the Japanese series. This was the case. We certainly find more exciting, funnier, thinner, more involved, but Last Christmas floated this little smile on his lips indicating that we had a good time. Nothing more, nothing less, just "a good time." Is not this the point?

Are Polystyrene And Thermocol Same

Hana Yori Dango

must sometimes take risks and try to genera not satisfying a priori to his tastes: we are never safe from surprise. In this case, it was to try to television adaptation of a shoujo, I appreciate that kind usually quite low. The result of this experiment proved mixed.

I laughed at the animated "Host Club" where a young girl of humble fell into the hands of a band of young amateurs fabulously wealthy. The gap between them often proved hilarious. On a somewhat similar scenario, Hana Yori Dango has rarely managed to tear me a laugh. This series does have an undeniable asset in the person of the young and dynamic actress Inoue Mao in the role of Makino Tsukushi, a schoolgirl penniless at war against the "F4", a group of 4 students - Domyoji Tsukasa (Jun Matsumoto), Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun) Nishikado Sojiro (Matsuda Shota) Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi) - the most popular establishment, heirs of powerful families and implacable tyrants ruling over their classmates. The problem lies precisely in that group, particularly in the character of Domyoji Tsukasa. Primo, "Matsumoche is ugly, and if we can do nothing against nature (though ... ask his opinion Kame-Chan) is somewhat problematic as when it is supposed to incarnate a lady-killer. Secondly, we would have hoped that the physical is compensated by an interesting personality ... or it occurs just the opposite. His character is horribly flat, uninteresting and limited: no more than a spoiled kid and bounded. The writer failed to give him depth, despite valiant efforts to distill tension with an implacable mother figure (Mariko Kaga) and some scenes of bravery falling like a fly in the soup.

Consequently, this series, revolving around the birth and development of the romance Domyoji / Makino, quickly loses its interest as the latter seems unlikely. None of the nine episodes of credibility does the inexplicable as to how Makino could fall in love with a Domyoji qu'imbécile as ugly. Apart from several short plays nice, especially the TOJ contest (episodes 8 & 9) embellished with the presence of the dummy Ayana Sakai (incidentally Tetsu wife, bassist of L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel ... yes, yes!), Remains the final the viewing to Hana Yori Dango one question: do I really give up trying to assess les shoujo ?

6/10 : That wasn’t too bad, I guess. But never worth a rewatch.

My Dogs Upper Lips Are Swolen

Dragon Zakura

Contrary to appearances, I'm not a fan of drama school. However, this class of series occupies an important place in the Japanese media landscape and is home to popular actors logically on other occasions. Thus the presence of Abe Hiroshi and a bunch of young idols become inspired me to take the time to look at a Dragon Zakura .

In a country as is the Cartesian France, we all know that some schools are predestined to succeed professionally and socially. The socio-economic studies also confirm that education changes only little to the social giving. The same diagnosis seems to apply in Japan and probably many other places. We may deplore it, or resign himself to cry, alas, quite unnecessarily, injustice ... Sakuragi Kenji (Abe Hiroshi) offers another alternative: to accept the rules of the game, certainly, but they arrange for you are favorable to term. And undertakes a marathon to enter five High school students from 2nd Ryuzan area at the very prestigious University of Tokyo (Toudai).

The series revolves around the search of five students could join the special preparatory course, their teachers and launched successive challenges to traditional teaching methods, embodied by the English teacher , Ino Mamako (Kyoko Hasegawa). Of course, teaching methods Sakuragi Kenji unusual, but far to exist solely to entertain viewers, they also give food for thought by highlighting the stultifying nature of education: for the entrance exam Toudai any pedagogy is oriented by-heart and minimizing errors. Personal development and intellectual curiosity that have little relation to the objective: enter the best universities to join the elite.

"Enter Toudai and change of life" is the mantra constantly rehashed the ears of Yajima (Yamashita Tomohisa), Mizuno (Masami Nagasawa), Ogata (Teppei Koike) Kosaka (Aragaki Yui - view in My Boss, My Hero ), Okuno (Nakao Akiyoshi) and Kobayashi (Saeko). Accustomed to failure, disowned by their parents, inhabited by doubt, these students are always endearing, even if their personal stories sometimes feel a little warmed up to the viewer warned. This is also where the shoe pinches. If the general theme is interesting, its treatment is sometimes lacking in originality and dynamism of a scenario with relatively linear and somewhat surprising.

nevertheless true that, far from the idealized visions of Gokusen or a GTO, the teaching is revealed here is unvarnished id as an instrument of social competition in which winners are only those who accept and enroll. The lesson of Dragon Zakura is hard ... but so true.
